NEW EP ‘GLOW BABY’ OUT NOW !!!

Hot on the heels of last year’s ‘Airs and Graces’ EP, with its feature track ‘Kingdom Come’, comes Richard Lawson’s next synth pop EP, ‘Glow Baby’. It is a mix influenced by 90s Brighton Pop, Prince-esque Funk and dreamy swirling electronic mayhem and is a direct response to the current existential crisis facing world climate, political, health and social issues, it features 3 new songs, 2 with guest vocalist Dione Leigh Wasup.

It was recorded at his own home studio over the summer of 2021/2022 with some recording and editing also taking place at Richard Cookes ‘Sanctuary Sounds’ studio in Tilba.

Richard is the former drummer for Aust Punk rock legends The Lime Spiders and has released 7 LPs and 6 EPs since leaving the band and has explored all musical possibilities from Folk to Electronica and Ambient/Classical crossover including soundtrack work.

Richard has been performing and touring regularly on the South Coast of NSW and plans are also underway for his works to be scored, performed and recorded by the esteemed classical ensemble ‘The Acacia Quartet’ later this year, with applications to several major classical music festivals in the pipeline.

‘Glow Baby’ is set for a June 13 release on Spotify/Youtube/Apple music and a launch party will be held on June 13 at the Dromedary Hotel in Tilba.

Sea with no overflow, roads with no end

Dreams are all aglow, voices never spent

My mind is like the tide, rolling in and out

Thoughts taken in my stride, write it all out

Tap into the liquid clock, time is not here

One song becomes another, I left them all behind

The search for the perfect verse, evades us

Words in a hidden world, silent chorus
